Elephant Dream: world’s first 3-D open movie
Elephants Dream is the world’s first open movie, made entirely with open source graphics software such as Blender, and with all production files freely available to use however you please, under a Creative Commons license.
Elephants Dream is the story of two strange characters exploring a capricious and seemingly infinite machine. The elder, Proog, acts as a tour-guide and protector, happily showing off the sights and dangers of the machine to his initially curious but increasingly skeptical protege Emo. As their journey unfolds we discover signs that the machine is not all Proog thinks it is, and his guiding takes on a more desperate aspect.
As a dream, only people of post industrialization period can able to see it or this kind of surreal enactment. It is always wonderful to see that more industrialization initiated, as a result in unconscious mind of human being, more they lose control on human supremacy and human individuality, which is an irony. Nervousness is always there that what they create now that might rule them or will control them very next day. There is a suffocating environment evolve throughout machine domination in the movie.
Somehow this movie reminds me Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, but Metropolis is very different from this movie. May be the volume of machine and limitless imposition of machine, structure of machine can bring resembles to that film. Paradox is that sometime human trapped in their own creation. It is so foolish and at the same time encouraging too that hope and illusionary vision always remains like a shadow to a human.
A nice movie about human anxiety, fear, hope, dream, communication, fate etc mostly belongs to a human subconscious mind. And the human being carries them and transmits them generation to generation since primeval time when they learn to make a fire or learn to draw a line in a cave wall. Of course those will remains forever and those are beauty of human nature.

Interesting to observe when Proog ask Emo, “Do you see?” at limitless darkness.
And what Emo represent is might be a soul searching entity. Once he is shown as very curious toward a closed door where we heard music is coming from that room. But Proog doesn’t allow him to enter the room.

Artists and Astronomers 'Observe' the Universe Together: A holy harmony
From the "Spitzer Space Telescope" News Room
Our current view of the universe, to quote Albert Einstein, is "not weirder than we do imagine, but weirder than we can imagine." That said, we have no choice but to observe the universe through human eyes and brains. How can we even start to make sense of it?
One answer might be to call in the artists. For thousands of years, people have used art to explore ideas that humble, confuse or even frighten us. A new exhibition opening in Pasadena continues this tradition, bringing artists and astronomers together to create original pieces of art.
Called "Observe," the exhibition is the culmination of a yearlong collaboration between two Pasadena institutions -- the Art Center College of Design and NASA's Spitzer Science Center at the California Institute of Technology. Beginning Oct. 10, visitors to the Art Center's Williamson Gallery will be challenged to stretch their imaginations as infrared observations from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope are visualized through the minds of five contemporary Southern California artists.

Papon' Song and Pranam's Direction
Where I would go
Where I would go
Where I would go
[Allap, an Indian classical interlude]
Nights of moon and moonlight
Why they needs to come
In every tune
Paintings are drawn
Memoirs of your eyes make me weep at nighttime
And your syrupy grin still makes me laugh quietly
Why tonight all the fire flies are making your picture
Of course I never able to stop thinking about you
Where are you now
For whom you are waiting for now
Songs belongs to whom you are singing now
Then don’t appear in my dream
As devastation is just placed on
Last time I met him on his set and he was shooting for his film. And before that I was with him SRFTI editing room and he was showing me his and diploma films of his fellow students very enthusiastically. Then we were on our own path and have not met again.
Now I just suddenly discovered this music video that directed, edited and shot by him.
I made inquiry for his phone number and when I phoned him, Pranam told me that he directed this video. It is also one of the best music video in Assamease music domain. I like the mood that camera generated in the video and through his editing he evaluates the elation when the song explore its terms. Camera settled in a perspective of gentle low angle and is pitching along with the song. A drama also created through out the scene as we see after singing singer and his music associates just left the auditorium. Appearance of an authoritarian looking person is only person who is listening to them in the empty auditorium. The tonal value of light condition also helped the totality of the video in presentation. So audience can involve in the ambiance and sucked in the story, mood and atmosphere.
Now Pranam is working as an very responsible official to govt. of Assam, but I hope he will arise again and warm up himself to deliver his gift of creativeness. As a Satyajit Ray film institute born student he was never compromising to what we associated with as formula, cliché oriented kingdom of films, whether it regional Indian films or mainstream films. But Pranam has the gift of deliver uniqueness.

"Socialism constitutes the only hope for overcoming human misery" -- Interview with Prabhat Patnaik
Interview with Professor Prabhat Patnaik:
But what the [financial] crisis [in the world's capital markets] does is to undermine the ideology of neo-liberalism which gives the Left a chance to intensify its struggle against neo-liberalism. And in so far as the recession that is arising will hurt not just the workers and peasants but even sections of the middle classes which have hitherto been beneficiaries of neo-liberalism, the soil for this struggle will be more fertile now. So, the short answer to this question is that the Indian policy-makers left to themselves will not change course, but we have to make them change course.
Eminent economist Prabhat Patnaik replies exclusively to a set of interview questions from Pragoti's Editorial Team.
Prabhat Patnaik is a leading Marxist economist, and is a professor at Centre for Economic Studies and Planning at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is also the vice-chairman of the Planning Board in the state of Kerala.

Hope you fine
It’s cool here
I only have a blanket
Rations are almost finished
And I keep messaging them
This time I request them for a radio
As I am roaming here
A radio may be my good companion
And those song
Yesterday a deep space shuttle landed here
As break journey
They carrying the message
Along with foods
As you burned there
As your body blasted
While you were buying some tomatoes
You lied there along with tomatoes
You want cucumber and honey bee
That you want for your skin care
You dreamed for an actress
You die there
And your body shot multiple times
You want the new video game
This just arrived
And you die there before playing it
Your body scattered to nothing
With your school bags
And Tiffin box that your mother prepared
Belief burns another belief
And you die there to ashes
Along with your children and wife
You die by yourself
You never able to pay landlord
You didn't able to cultivate
you mean life as enemy within
I told them
Look, give me the radio
That I requested
I helpless in this out post
You know Pluto is very cold
Not bothering about nitrogen ice
Smell of Methane and carbon monoxide
Some time patrolling
two smaller moons Nix and Hydra
I don’t have any complain
For my job as watchman here
Just give me a radio
And those songs may be good companions
As always you have the news
Burned alive, killed on blast
Shot on chest multiple times
Only I wish
Hope you fine
I only have a blanket
Rations are almost finished
And I keep messaging them
This time I request them for a radio
